Class fees and Materials fees, if any, are due no later than the 'register by' date included in the class description and payable to the Isle of Wight Arts League. Convenient online payment options for Class Fee and Materials Fees (if any) are included below the class description. IWAL Members Class Fee rate is for Members of the Isle of Wight Arts League, otherwise select Non-members option. Materials fees may also be paid on line using the Materials Fee button.
Parents / guardians: For safety considerations, you must accompany your child into the Arts Center at the beginning of class and pick up your child from the Center. Children will only be released from the Center to a parent or guardian.

Beginner Introduction to Acrylics May 17, 18 and 19, 2023, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 1:00 to 3:00 pm Instructor: Athena A. Rhodes Learn to paint with acrylics on canvas with three consecutive 2-hour sessions. No Experience Necessary! You will learn basic techniques of color mixing, brushwork and more, all suited to the featured painting. This class is for beginning students 16 years old and over. Please register and pay by April 24. Class Fee is $75 for Members, $85 for Non-members plus a Materials fee of $25. All paint, canvas and brushes supplied by instructor. Instructor will provide a color photo reference for students to paint from in class.
Camille Bracelet May 11, 2023, Thursday 4 to 6 pm Or May 13, 2023, Saturday 2 to 4 pm Instructor: Diane Milner Let your imagination run wild. This bracelet is made with Kheops par Puca, triangular two-hole beads glass beads from the Czech Republic. Strung together, back-to-back they create a pleasing diamond shaped bracelet. This is an ideal project for teen to adults. Students will be offered a choice of three colors to work with and corresponding crystal pearls and seed beads. The Camille Bracelet is a great project for a Home-School art project or a day out with Mom. Come join us. Students under 10 must have accompanying parent. Class fee is $30 for Members ($40 for Non-Members) plus $10 for supplies. Register by May 5, 2023 to reserve your space. Minimum of 3 students, maximum of 8 students.

Learn all the amazing things your camera is capable of that you never knew were possible! We will cover basic camera mechanics, shooting modes, and flash. Photographers will learn the fundamentals of exposure and the relationship of shutter speed, f-stop, and ISO setting. Composition techniques will be explained and demonstrated with an opportunity to practice what you learn. Last class will be image review and critique. Through lecture and hands-on photography, you will leave this class with the confidence to take control of your camera to create outstanding photographs.
